The main result is reliability. All 12 GWM crews finished without any technical issues. The drivers are experienced racers from Argentina, Italy, China and Spain. The race was attended by:
- Hybrid Tank 700 Hi4-T;
- hybrid Tank 500 Hi4-Z;
- hybrid Tank 300 Hi4-T;
- GWM Poer pickups.
GWM took the first places in three T2 category competitions:
- T2.E (cars powered by new energy sources) – the hybrid Tank 700 won, the best result on 11 special stages;
- T2.1 (cars with internal combustion engines) – won the GWM Poer with a 3.0-liter V6, won 9 special stages;
- T2.3 – the GWM Poer with a 2.0-liter engine finished first on 11 special stages.
About the race: start on May 16 in Urumqi, finish on June 1 in Aksu. The riders overcame the Gobi and Taklamakan deserts, as well as the mountainous regions of the Tien Shan. The total length is 7,500 km, of which more than 3,400 km are high–speed special stages.
